Dr. Khan earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Queen’s University and completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto. She pursued further subspecialization in Oculoplastics at the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Michelle Khan is a skilled cataract, refractive, and oculoplastic surgeon with extensive experience in advanced vision correction procedures, including Refractive Lens Exchange. In addition, she specializes in general ophthalmology and the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts.
Dr. Khan currently serves as a cataract surgeon and ophthalmologist at Trillium Health Partners. She is also affiliated with the University of Toronto’s Division of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences and Queen’s University, where she practices as an oculoplastic surgeon.
Throughout her career, Dr. Michelle Khan has earned numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Loran Scholarship during her undergraduate studies. She was recognized with the Award of Excellence in Ophthalmology upon graduating from Queen’s School of Medicine and has received additional honors for her surgical expertise and contributions to research. In acknowledgment of her dedication to the medical profession, she was appointed Senior Fellow at Massey College, a distinguished post-graduate academic community at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Khan is passionate about humanitarian work and has been involved in global medical outreach, having performed several medical missions to conflict-stricken parts of the world. She currently serves as Chair of the St. John Ophthalmic Association of Canada and is actively involved in teaching, lecturing, and performing voluntary humanitarian work at the St. John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel.
Dr. Khan has published extensively in leading peer-reviewed journals and is an accomplished public speaker, having delivered numerous lectures and presentations at national and international conferences.
